There is nothing wrong being a mediocre, what matters is you are doing something everyday and you are very happy of what you're doing. Being great is a deep word, no one can define it because it is infinite. If you want to become great then be satisfied with being a mediocre everyday, if you are consistent on what you do... even if your products are mediocre then you can become great one day.
A lot of people wants to become great, they don't want to become mediocre but they are not willing to work everyday. A consistent mediocre is better than someone who is not doing anything at all. Consistent mediocrity is the path to greatness. At least you have a chance because you're improving everyday. Don't underestimate the power of repetition, if you can repeat a mediocre output for years then it will become great one day.
Never mind people who are telling you that you're just average, that you're not too good. One day you will become great if you can outwork them. Be satisfied with being a mediocre for the moment because your skills will improve one day. They will kiss your ass one day because you don't give up and you make yourself better each day. They will realized how good you are.
They are talking about greatness, they are talking about what it takes to become successful but only a few will do something for years without skipping, Only a few is consistent. A lot of people will give up, a lot of people will make excuses. It is better to become a mediocre who is not making excuses.
Greatness is a never ending process. It is a never ending work, practice, sacrifice and pain. You will only become a mediocre forever if you will stop, but if you will keep pushing and grinding... one day greatness will be on your side.
So embrace being a mediocre, embrace being an average. At least you are moving and improving. Try to at least improve .005 percent everyday. It doesn't matter if you don't feel the improvement, what matters is you're on the right track and you never stop.
Because at the end of the day, when it's all said and done... you will never regret that you follow your heart, you will never regret that you follow your instincts and you never stop pursuing your dream even if you're producing mediocre results.
