1. Call your old friend. A close friend that you haven't seen for a long time. A friend that you treasure, call him and have a nice conversation with him. I am very sure both of you are so excited to talk to each other, you have a lot of stories to tell. Don't be shy to call him, eat your ego and be humble. It's only awkward in the beginning but once both of you get comfortable with each other... the conversation will be a lot of fun. I am very sure you will even set up a dinner some time. Calling an old friend will erase your boredom easily, you will be entertained, you will even get emotional. You will wonder why it takes too long to call a friend.
2. Set a quota for yourself on a specific task. This will make your day, this will push yourself. Set a quota on a specific task and be serious on achieving it. For example, if you're at the office and you only need to work for 8 documents, change the routine, finish 15 documents and never go home until you finish all of it. You may think that it's crazy but you are bored and you need to entertain yourself. You need to act like a hero and give charity work. This will even make your boss happy, do it and your adrenaline will be pumped up, the blood on your veins will run fast, you will think fast, you will rush and that will make your day even more entertaining. You will escape boredom by working hard, a lot of people were so bored with their lives because they are not pushing themselves, they are not stretching themselves, they are stagnant that is why they don't feel any growth. You will feel happier if you're working a lot rather than being lazy and killing time for no reason.
3. Try something that you're afraid of. Ask a random chick to go out on a date with you, confront your bad neighbor and tell him his wrong doings but make sure you will not instigate a fight, try to learn how to fix your things, try to learn how to play a specific musical instrument. Do something that you are hesitant for a very long time.
4. Help someone who is in need. Helping will make you feel good, it will generate good feelings not only to you but also from other people. Help a charity, be a volunteer, if you don't want and you're too lazy to go out then just give good advises to other people. Make someone feel good and don't be a negative person.
5. Run. Go out and run, no thinking, no hesitating... just put your shoes on and run. No need to find a place where you can run because you can run anywhere. Put your jogging pants on and never stop until you're tired. This will clear your mind, this will push your body to become more active and end laziness. Running is a good activity to destroy boredom because it will give you energy. You only think that you are getting tired but the truth is you are gaining more energy. Your day will become more motivated once you finished running.
