If you're just interested on something then you just kinda like it. You will do something for it but not for so long, maybe you will take actions but you will never push through when things gets hard. Being interested will never make it to the finish line, you're not serious, you just want it for some cute reasons. You just want it now when things are going well but when situation gets worse... you don't want it anymore.
If you are really committed then you will love it no matter what, you will still do it even if the situation is really bad. You will have no excuses, you will see no obstacles.
Decide now if you are just interested or committed. It's like a marriage, it's forever commitment, you can't be just interested in your wife now because she's still beautiful, young and sexy. In order for the marriage to work, you have to stay committed everyday even if your relationship is a little bit salty.
If you are pursuing a goal, are you really committed? or are you just interested? You can't be just liking it but not taking it seriously because that will never bring success into your life. You have to be serious, discipline and focused. There is no other way around, no one who has ever produce a big success without being serious about his work.
Being committed means facing the pain, it means trying to defeat all the adversity that is presented, it means still working even if nothing is working. It is going all in and not changing your mind even when victory looks like very impossible to achieve.
Being interested means you don't really want it because you're half ass committed. You are just interested with it because you think it's cool to have it or do it.
One good example is people who are taking up a jiu jitsu class. They are interested in learning it but they are not committed of doing it everyday, they just do it because they think they will look cool and tough if other people learned that they are doing it. If you are just interested with it... your success will never last, you will taste a little bit of glory in the beginning but you will still quit in the end.
So if you really want to become successful.. you must be committed with the journey, you must be willing to face everything, even the toughest moments. You must be willing to face discomfort, you must stay motivated even if you are not winning.
