Yesterday was just a history, it is nothing. People can talk about it, people can make a story out of it but at the end of the day... we're living in the now, we're not living in yesterday anymore.
Now is more powerful than yesterday because it is the one that is happening. You have full control of it and you can do something about it. Yesterday was weak, it is nothing, it is only just a thought, it will never make an impact to your life anymore especially if you will not think about it.
All yesterday does is implant something on your brain. If you keep on thinking about past then it will affect your present decision, it can make you confused, scared and ineffective especially if what you're thinking from the past is not something positive.
Let's say you're a fighter and you you have three fight losing streak. You will think that your confidence is going down, it's not that your confidence is going down, you think that way because you think about your past, you think about your losing streak. Stop thinking about your past defeats and your confidence will go back to normal. Disconnect from the past and you will regain your power back again.
There is no such thing as a winner or a loser. Let's say a team has won five straight championships.. those championships means nothing anymore because it's already from the past. What matters is who will win the championship today. Now is the conversation, not past nor future. So don't get intimidated if your opponent has a proven record, it is from the past, you don't even know if his skills were still inside of him. You don't even know if he is prepared. What matters is the now, you must live in the moment.
Yesterday is just a story, nothing but a story, you give meaning to it, you are the one who is making it powerful or weak. If it is nothing to you then it will become powerless. But if you keep on thinking about it then it will become powerful.
Focus on the now, focus on what you can do. Forget the mistakes from the past, forget about what other people has accomplished from the past. It is what you do with the moment that matters.
