Life is not a race, how many million times do I have to say it. You can become successful by just being slow BUT... there is a big "BUT". You need to be consistent, you need to show up everyday.
Being slow but continuous gets more results than being fast but not consistent. If you are slow then you will commit less mistakes, you will enjoy your movement anymore, you will not rush, you will see all the things happening around you.
People want to become fast because the want to become the first to do something, rushing means you're in a state of lack, it means you are not confident in what you do, you are not sure that you're going to win. But if you are slow... you already knew that you're going to have it, you are taking your time and you're not needy. You are so focused and you have this confidence that you're going to succeed no matter what, you just knew that all you need to do is work hard and you will get there in just a matter of time.
Even if you're the slowest among the group, if you're so focused and consistent then you can still go to the top, you can still become the best. It is your dedication that matters not the speed.
Even if you're the last, it still doesn't matter if your heart is still there. You can still become what you wanted to become if you will not give up and push further everyday.
Taking it slow is really fun, you will enjoy every second of your journey, you will merely focus on what you can control, everything is fun, even the struggles will be fun if you will learn to embrace it and stay committed on what you're trying to accomplish.
Life is not a race, it is not a rush, it is a marathon. It is the one who can embrace difficulty and discomfort while moving slow who will win.
