You should entertain yourself not them. If you're playing an instrument in front of a large audience, your goal should be to entertain yourself. Have fun on playing your instrument. Don't worry about what people say... that is the best way to produce a very good performance... not thinking about impressing people.
Focus on how you feel and not how they feel, be you. Because if you will think about what they might say... then it is game over for you, you will never be able to put up a good show. You will become conservative and you will make mistakes.
Enjoy every movement that you are making, feel free to improvise and invent any pattern. If you made a mistake... just laugh at it on your mind, pretend that you didn't commit one, forget it and find your rhythm back. Entertain yourself again, make sure you are having fun. If you can't have fun it only means you are not focus on your performance, you are thinking about something else.
The key to put up a good performance or create a magnificent work is to stop worrying about what people think. Just have fun creating, it is what you feel that matters and not how they feel. Be concern about yourself and stop worrying if you are doing good.
Always feel free, stop holding back, just give your best and forget about the outcome.
The moment you think that you're not doing well... that is the start of screwing yourself up. That is the time when you will come up with a mediocre performance.
Find the thoughts and actions that will make you feel good. Celebrate your freedom, unleash your creativity.
