To have a good life, to make yourself a little bit successful everyday... beware of instant gratification and fall in love with delayed gratification. Practicing delayed gratification means you are serious with your goal, it means you really want to achieve something because you are sacrificing short term happiness for long term happiness. You know what to do and you are responsible when it comes to making decisions.

Look at those people who were broke... every time they get some money they will spend it right away, every time they have a girl friend they will impregnate the girl right away, every time there is an invitation to a party... they cannot resist it. They always wanted to feel good even if they knew that it's not the right thing to do. If there is a job opportunity or a chance to make some money... they will let it go, instead they will watch their favorite noontime show that will only waste a lot of their time.

YOUR IN BIG BIG TROUBLE if you're addicted to instant gratification. The fake amusement that you're getting now will destroy your future, it will make your life miserable. Success and having a good life is only a matter of doing the right thing at the right time. Your life will become harder a little bit but you will reap the rewards of your sacrifices in the future.

And even if you're not getting the reward for now, you're still having a good life because you're not inviting bad things into your life, you have a peace of mind because you're on the right track. Just wait a little more time, work super hard and you will get success in the future. It's very simple... do what other people are not doing. They are getting the same results because the have the same mindset, they want to feel good right now even if the exchange of it is making the wrong decisions.

WHAT ARE SOME INSTANT GRATIFICATION THAT MOST PEOPLE ARE DOING?

1. Buying new clothes or shoes even if they haven't paid their debts or bills yet.
2. Impregnating girls even if they don't have a job.
3. Watching TV instead of studying for the exam.
4. Eating a lot of foods that are high in cholesterol even though they were diagnosed with a high blood pressure.
5. Going to a party instead of looking for a job.

If you're always looking for happiness and good feelings then you're in big trouble. Sometimes you need to delay happiness in order to have a good life, you really need to sacrifice so that your life will change from going down to going up.
