FACING DISCOMFORT ERASES FEAR

Sometimes you thought you fear something but the reality is the discomfort that it brings is what really make you scared. For example... you're so scared to get rejected by a company, you're so scared that the company has high standards, you can't even talk to the boss, you thought that the company was a terror and you can never work there. But the reality is... you're only scared of the discomfort of the process. There will be a lot of screening, a lot of training, a lot of uncomfortable situations that is overwhelming you. You're not scared of the company itself, you're scared with the discomfort that it can bring.

Just like when chasing a goal, you're not scared of the goal, you're scared of the numerous failure that you might get, you're scared of the stress that you will feel by working so hard. You're so scared that you might try again and exert more work again. You're scared of the feeling that you might get from it.

Another example is when you're approaching a hot girl, you're not really afraid of her, you're not afraid of her intimidating looks... you're just afraid that she might ignore you and you will feel sorry for yourself. The truth is you're afraid of the feeling not the subject itself.

But if you will face the discomfort, if you are willing to feel it, if you're willing to embrace it and look at it as just part of the process then fear will disappear. There will always be discomfort in every kind of situation and that's what scares you. But if you will just be ok feeling uncomfortable, if you will just stay calm getting rejected, humiliated or stressed then fear will start to go away.

There is a resistance in everything and if you can manage to face that resistance and move anyway then fear will start to become weak.

So if you want to erase any kind of fear in your life, or let's say if you want to face it then understand that it's just a feeling. It's only making you uncomfortable. If you can just manage to make your mind believe that any discomfort is an opportunity to grow then your life will become much much easier.

No fear is not conquerable, you can face any kind of fear if you will just look at the prize waiting for you once you faced it. It's easier said than done but it is true that fear is not dangerous, it's only uncomfortable and that's what makes it look dangerous. Be aware that the only thing that fear can do to you is play with your feelings, it is only manipulating your mind, it is giving you a negative emotion and once you're not aware that it's nothing but just a feeling then things will start to fall apart, bad situations will be manifested.

Face the discomfort, that's the only way to neutralize fear. Embrace everything may it be good or bad, always remember that what doesn't kill you can only make you stronger. So face the discomfort now, focus on feeling it and fear will go away so fast.
