There should be a counter thought for every situation. If you can just master your mind then you will have a better life, you can control your emotions and every difficult situation will become much easier. For example, if there is a traffic... how would you react? most people will become hot headed easily, they will judge the situation easily. It's because traffic is a strong trigger for stress. But if you will have a counter thought for traffic like... "it will flow", "it will soon be over", "why will I get mad at something that really doesn't matter", "life is so short to be dwelling too much on this", "this is nothing". Life will become much easier if you have a prepared thought or affirmation for very difficulty in life.
If am tired, all I am think was... I will just enjoy every step and soon this task will be over. And the magic happens, I was able to finish the tasks that looks difficult in the beginning, it became easy when I use my counter thought for that situation.
If you're in a basketball game and your opponents looks big, if they are pressuring you and bullying you... always think that it is nothing, always think that you can also compete and enjoy the game even if they were stronger than you. Once you ignore their strengths and you focus on your own strength then the game will be much easier. That counter thought is very effective.
There is a pattern of thought for every situation, the reason why you're having a difficulty is because your pattern of thoughts were always difficult. Another example is once you hear the news that the economy is going down... you will become scared immediately. But if you will just think that it's ok and all you have to do is work harder and you will be alright then your life will become much easier, you will become less scared.
