Let's say you work as a maintenance in the hotel and suddenly a TV of a rude and rich customer breaks down and you're the one who is assigned to repair it, how are you going to handle the situation? let's say he doesn't understand what's going on and all he does is bark at you how are you going to react? the answer to that is very simple... just pretend that you are fixing it, stay cool, answer his questions politely without showing him that you are scared, show no fear but still answer politely. Never react violently, once he felt that you are immovable and cannot be threatened then that bum will shut his mouth. Even if he asking who is your boss or what is your name and threatening to have you get fired... don't crumble, don't feel threatened, just keep moving forward and keep your cool. Answer all of his questions and pretend that you are fixing it if you have no idea how to fix it. Just pretend that you're doing something. If you get fired you get fired which is unlikely to happen. Just stay cool and never react negatively, that's how to become powerful than someone who is above you. Just play the game, if he ask questions answer it, if you don't know the answer still answer, if he insults you just agree, just keep moving slowly with no signs of panic, this is how to handle a very tough situation. Don't say sorry too many times, just say sorry once if you need to. You have to make him feel that you have nothing to lose, once he felt it... you're already in command, you're already in his head, he will wonder why can't he bother you, he will get angry even more which is funny or he may felt embarrassed, he will try everything to make you react but if you don't react then you're the winner here.
If your boss is abusive just play the game, if he is asking you to do an over time then ask if he is going to pay you. If he can't answer the question then leave, if it's time to go then it's time to go, you don't need to become a slave of somebody. It's your life, you know if you're being ripped off. You can have control if you're ready to get fired at any given day and look for another job again. It's just like that, you're already at the bottom then why will you let an abusive person abuse you or take advantage of you? learn how to play the game without being violent. Or make excuses that your dog is sick that you need to go home fast, or pretend that your landlady will reject you in your apartment because you are suppose to give the payment today and the landlady was already waiting in front of your apartment. Make dramas to excuse yourself, do it again and again until he realize that he can't play you. Just make sure you are ready to lose your job, having this kind of mentality will make you powerful even if you're at the bottom. Do your job at your very best but never get so attached to it, never think that it's the only source of income, if you can develop this kind of mindset then you are sure to win, nothing can control you anymore. Remove money in the equation and you will be in command of your life, nothing can abuse you anymore. be ready to walk away at any given moment, be ready to face the difficulty again, if you're not afraid of any struggle then you will become powerful, you will be in a state of abundance. Abusers become powerful because the think you can't live without them, but if you show them that they are meaningless then they will treat you better.
